![]() Is it time for us to talk? This is an invitation to you to talk to me. You may want to come for face to face sessions, or for internet counselling via e-mail or telephone. You may want just to find out more. This website is to tell you something about what kind of person you would meet and an invitation to contact me and discuss any further possibilities.I believe that all people are able to make moves towards the life they really wish for. I have seen people begin to handle the pain and stress that life inevitably brings, getting a focus on what is truly important and meaningful to them and finding that different perspective and mindfulness skill-base which will bring them to the point where they can act in favour of their hopes. I hear the voices that say, “I haven’t really got a problem, if I just got a grip?”, I don’t think I would succeed if I tried, you don’t know how complicated my life is! There is stuff I just can’t bear to look at! It is not my problem it is someone else!” But, if you would like to work towards the things that you think are worthwhile within a counselling experience that is safe, professional and supportive, then you may consider that it is time for us to talk. Though we may have complex problems to deal with together, you will always have the sense that you and your needs are the central focus of the work we do together. I am a BACP Accredited counsellor, with training in person-centred, narrative, CBT and Acceptance and Commitment therapy and a Masters degree in Counselling. As I came to counselling late in life, and have put in many hours of practice, you have the benefit of considerable counselling and life experience. As a specialist alcohol worker, I take a real interest in problems of addiction. Working in this area, I have a clear understanding of the importance of developing the life you really want and taking actions which satisfy what you most value in this life and this has led to a practice in coaching and assisting people to find employment and settle in retirement. I have talked to people and helped them to make decisions about: My practice is in Bristol, at St George within reach of Church Road and it is easy to reach by bus, train and car, if you want to make a start or just find out whether we may be able to work together then contact me by phone or e-mail. |
